Preparing your quilt
Do not baste or pin the layers together. Top, batting and backing must be separate.
Top:
Square up your top and trim excess threads from both sides of the top. The threads from piecing and raveling can sometimes shadow through on lighter fabrics.
Press carefully your top during piecing. Pressing from the topside eliminates little folds along the seams.
Remove any buttons. If possible, embroidery will be done after the quilting.
Check and remove any remaining pins.
Backing:
I have a small selection of wide backings but feel free to bring your own.
Your quilt backing must be at least 5" larger than the quilt top on all sides, but no excessively larger than your quilt top.
If you bring your own pieced backing, press seams open and square it up. Use a rotary cutter and a ruler to make straight cuts. The backing is the back bone of your quilt! Don't neglect the quality of your material. Please do not bring a sheet.

Batting:
It must be 4" larger than the quilt top on all sides.
I cary a selection of Hobbs battings but feel free to bring your own.
I can also help you decide what would be the best option for your quilt according to your use.

Any cutting, pressing from me will be charged accordingly.
If you are not sure, feel free to contact me.

All unused fabric and batting will be returned to you.
